Sarah Backe, PhD
Dr. Sarah Backe (she/her) is a licensed psychologist with established expertise in psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological assessment. She earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and completed her doctoral studies at Boston College, where she acquired extensive training in psychological assessment and intervention.
During her internship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Dr. Backe played a pivotal role in integrating behavioral health services into outpatient pediatric care. Her participation in the esteemed Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program enriched her understanding of various developmental concerns and strengthened her commitment to collaborating with professionals across diverse disciplines.
Dr. Backe's dedication to providing families with exemplary care led her to pursue a rigorous two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at McLean Hospital | Harvard Medical School. There, she specialized in working with children, adolescents, and their families as they navigated the complex intersection of developmental, learning, and mental health challenges.
Throughout her career, Dr. Backe has cultivated a wealth of experience across various clinical settings, including mainstream and therapeutic schools, pediatric primary care facilities, and both medical and psychiatric hospitals.
